Gardens and Castle
The establishment and development of the castle is inseparably linked to the Olomouc bishopric, the archbishopric and towns in the liege of the Bishops of Olomouc. The interiors are richly adorned and equipped with a number of pristine period furnishings.
Works of prominent European painters from 15th to 18th centuries are in the local picture gallery. The garden under the castle was pristinely a fruit, vegetable and flower garden. It became a unique stylish sixty-four hectare landscaped park later. The flower garden is geometrically conventional with artificially made strawberry mounds, and a square and round labyrinth composed of privet hedge.
